How do the fashionistas show their patriotism during war time? They wear it of course! Graduate Center for Decorative Arts at Bard (NYC) is exhibiting 130 pieces of war-time propaganda clothing from US, England, and Japan. (November 18- February 5, 2006). I like how the designs are really integrated to the articles of clothing like in this kimono below w/details of army hats, missiles, and flags).

We need to work on our contemporary designs, that’s for sure… Where are the Black Hawks, Whiskey Pete missiles, and night vision goggles??
