For a second there I felt like I was losing track of all the art biennials and beinnales. Thank god for the web. Art Fairs International breaks it down for you, sort-of. What I really wish they had was also an expansive information graphic that showed location, age, participants, attendance, etc. Or would that be useless?

Wasn’t it only like less than 10 years ago that the only two important biannials were the Venice Biennale and Documenta? Have we all given up on working together? Or has there just been more funding for local art festivals? What’s the purpose of all these biennials these days anyhow?
