Kohler Hatbox Toilet

Although it’s been a year now on the market, I’m just noticing their full page advertisements on the back of Wired Magazine. Kolhers’ Purist Hatbox Toilet is impressive because of it’s tankless design, but then again who ever complained about having a tank? Isn’t that were we pile all the reading material and the extra rolls? Other features include the ergonomic Comfort Height™ and Quiet Close toilet seat™. For anybody who’s seen Peter Greenaway’s early film “Inside Rooms: 26 Bathrooms, London & Oxfordshire” 1985 there is no one-height-fits all.

Con: I think the flusher is a button on the back of the toilet just below the rim, a place we’re few of us would ever want to venture.
Work around: Designate this one a sitter and you’ll be fine.

Con: There is no one size fits all Comfort Height.™
Work around: If the really want to go minimal and truly ergonomic then forget the tank, forget the basin all together. And go straight for the hole in the ground, your squat is the height nature intended.
